Rodrigo Vasconcelos
piano, history

Rodrigo Vasconcelos holds a Master of Arts degree from Campbellsville University and a Piano Performance degree from the University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His piano teachers include Linda Bustani, Estela Caldi, Allan Hersh, and Wesley Roberts.

 

Mr. Vasconcelos keeps a healthy performing career as a choral conductor, pianist, and lecturer throughout the US, Germany, England, Czech Republic and Brazil, including appearances with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Vasconcelos serves as music educator for the Our Lady of the Visitation School, and on the piano, music history, and theory faculty of Indian Springs Academy of Music.

 

Mr. Vasconcelos is a Founding Teacher of the Royal Conservatory of Music's Music Development Program and is an active member of the National Association for Music Education and the Ohio Music Educators Association.

Jennifer Weiland earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, piano emphasis, from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, OH. She then went on to study at Miami University in Oxford, OH, earning her Master of Music in Music Education. Mrs. Weiland’s preparatory studies included advanced certificates from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in both piano and theory. 

 

A dean’s list student at Heidelberg University, Mrs. Weiland has taught in private schools and in the public school system teaching pre-school, Elementary, Middle and High School music. She has directed adult and children’s choirs, taught general music classes, music appreciation classes, and instructed students in advanced theory through a course designed for students desiring to pursue music in college.

 

Throughout her education and career, she has continued to maintain a private studio in both piano and clarinet.  She leads worship at church, singing and playing the piano. Mrs. Weiland, her husband Cleighton and three young daughters make their home in Trenton, Ohio.
